  • Meteorological conditions causing the transport of air pollutants were investigated by analyzing ground level winds. On sea breeze days, transport from the industrial area to the inland area causes high ozone concentrations in Gyeongju. These phenomena are mainly driven by sea breeze started at southern coastal area. But it was not shown high ozone concentration in sea breeze days when surface wind speed was week. When the westerly winds dominate at the low level atmosphere around Korean peninsula, ozone concentration in Gyeongju were concerned with the transport of pollutants exhausted at Daegu. The results show that the air quality in Gyeongju is strongly affected by meteorological conditions, such as wind direction and wind speed. (rdf:langString) (en)
