  • At recent, according to the increasing traffic volumes, ozone has been recognized as one of the main air pollutants. However, because the measurement of ozone concentration for photochemical oxidants is mainly dependent on telemetering system, we have the difficulty in analysing the ozone spatial distribution. In this paper, we are to investigate about the new sampling and analysis method of ozone, which are to make use of fluorescence intensity of 4-acetamidophenol with ozone. Also, we applied this method to passive sampler and evaluated the results. The results obtained for the present study are as follows: 1) At this method, the reaction soln. for analysis comes to stabilization in fluorescence after 20 min., and the minimum storage time of samples is 3 days. 2) It was showed that reproducibility between the results of passive sampler is excellent and the correlation coefficient between passive sampler and TMS results was 0.9654. The conversion factor of passive sampler in this study was estimated as 0.1444. 3) It seems that these methods for ozone sampling and analysis are simple and excellent, and so very useful for the analysis of the spatial distributions.
