  • Dry deposition velocity of O₃ is calculated over deciduous forest in summer. Dry deposition is very sensitive to characteristics of surface type. Especially in terms of the canopy resistance, the important characteristics are vegetation cover, thermal diffusivity, canopy wetness, stomatal resistance, ground resistance and roughness length. We have simulated the diurnal variation of O₃ and other gases of dry deposition velocity using PNU/DEM. In our study we found that daytime has large <TEX>$$V_d$$</TEX> with strong insolation and active stomatal action, nighttime has small <TEX>$$V_d$$</TEX>. Because canopy resistance has large influence on <TEX>$$V_d$$</TEX> in daytime, relatively aerodynamic resistance has large influence on <TEX>$$V_d$$</TEX> in nighttime. (rdf:langString) (en)
