  • The sensitivities of solar UV-B radiation flux are tested, based on UV-B transfer model, in conjuntion with measured data in Pusan, Korea. The main parameters influencing solar UV-B radiation flux are cloudiness, solar zenith angle, total ozone amount, albedo and turbidity. Under cloudless sky the important parameter is solar zenith angle. At the same solar zenith angle, solar UV-B radiation fluxes are determined by total ozone content. Over surfaces, the albedo for UV-B radiation is smaller than for total global radiation. Over new, dry snow surfaces the albedo (0.9) is slightly higher for UV-B radiation. Therefore, UV-B radiation especially increased over high surface albedo. Turbidity. which is a measurement of the aerosol content in the atmosphere, weakens UV-B radiation slightly. Attenuation of solar radiation fluxes by clouds can vary within a broad range due to varying amount, types, heights and optical thickness of the clouds. (rdf:langString) (en)
