  • Image segmentation using some conventional relaxation algorithms has progressive degradation as an iteration increases. In this paper, a modified algorithm supervised with initial probability adaptive to the local characteristics is presented to remove such a degradation. A new probability in the modified algorithm is the combination of conventional iterated probability value and weighted initial value to segment an image in parallel. It is verified by the simulation that the proposed method removes ambiguity as well as suppresses the degradation as the iteration increases. (rdf:langString) (en)
